Eclipse in Argentina

Versiòn en Español

SANTA FE  PROVINCE

City of Venado Tuerto

The city of Venado Tuerto, in southern Santa Fe, lies deep in the path of totality with the central line sweeping just 10 miles south of that urban place, so that can be a good place to observe the 2 min 11 seconds of darkness in case you can not travel to western Argentina where the eclipse conditions are better. The Sun will lie low in the sky at the moment of totality, about 4 degrees. There are no mountains there so a clear and unobstructed horizon should make possible to see totality without problems.

Venado Tuerto is situated about 108 miles southwest of Rosario, a big city with an international airport. It lies about 186 miles northwest of Buenos Aires. Use Google maps to know about routes and distances from that big cities to the spot of totality in this city of Santa Fe.
